Quality Control

The laboratory fulfills the requirements for CLIA 1988 laboratory testing and participates in proficiency testing with the American Association of Bioanalysts and the College of American Pathologists. Our internal quality controls include commercial standards and pooled specimens, which are monitored by our technical staff, laboratory director and quality assurance manager.

Our "STAT" Services are Performed in Our Local Facilities

• Quick response by our couriers and Technical Services Department minimizes turnaround time.
• Results are promptly telephoned and/or faxed.
• Our "STAT" Test Menu includes, but is not limited to, the following tests. Special requests are accommodated when possible. A complete list of "STAT" tests is available from your account manager.

Abnormals

Abnormal test results are confirmed by repeating the test in duplicate, to ensure its reproducibility and accuracy. All critical and panic results are phoned immediately as directed by a physician.

Repeat Determinations

We will repeat a test whenever the result does not correlate with the physician's clinical judgment. Please explain the circumstances on the requisition when ordering a repeat determination, referring to the specimen accession number of the report in question.
