Quality Assurance Program

• A strict Quality Assurance Program utilizing effective quality control procedures is in place and under the direction of board-certified cytopathologists.
• All GYN pathology cases are correlated with Pap smears and HPV Hybrid Capture II DNA test results in one comprehensive report.
• Pap smears are reported utilizing the 2001 Bethesda System.
• High sensitivity and specificity in cytologic diagnosis: --less than 5% ASC-US rate. --abnormal diagnostic rates comparable to CAP (College of American Pathologists) and other national statistics.

Client Service

• Pathologists are available on-site Monday through Friday, 7:30 am to 6:30 pm, and are available after hours for emergency services and consultation.
• Dedicated and experienced pathologists on-site for continued follow-up of patients. Sophisticated studies such as cytogenetics, flow cytometry, and immunoperoxidase are utilized when appropriate.
• FDA-approved GC/Chlamydia, HPV Hybrid Capture II tests and ThinPrep Pap slides are performed in-house from a single liquid-based cytology sample (4-in-1), following strict protocol to ensure sample integrity.

• Surgical pathology, gynecological pathology, dermatopathology, GI pathology, urological pathology, hematopathology, and cytopathology.
• Board-certified cytopathologists on staff.
• Experienced dermatopathologist on staff. Hematopathologist on staff with fellowship training under Drs. Lukes and Nathwani (LAC-USC Medical Center).
• Core of pathologists have served together for many years ensuring continuity and in-depth pathology consultation.
• Consultation services available in the above specialties at the request of the referring physician.
